Paradise Poker - Network Status

The ParadisePoker game server is currently off line. Our technical team is actively working to restore connectivity. If you were in a multi-table tournament, we will make every effor to resume the tournament from the point of the service disruption.
This message is appearing on Paradise Poker network status too many times last days. Is it site purchase related or amount of players is greater that they can handle? Being closely related to software development I can say that developing of poker playing functionality is far from being difficult and should scale very very good. What's the problem?

Las Vegas Poker Rooms Reviews, Tournaments, No-Limit Holdem

I've just updated link bar at the right. The idea is to create not only a subjective news feed that may be intersting for me only, but to create a set of valuable poker links that can be reused over and over again. One of such links is this:
Las Vegas Poker Rooms Reviews, Tournaments, No-Limit Holdem
This is the best location Vegas poker room reviews I found on the net.
Interesting post about tourney finishing stage. Nice analysis.

Folding Your Way Into the Money

Tuesday, November 09, 2004

BTW just cashed out my money from Pacific Poker site. As I read reviews of this site cash out had to be no problem. However they made me to worry for a little while (probably because my cash out speed expectations were set a little bit high by Paradise Poker that cashes me out in less than a day). It took 8 days to receive my money from them.
Overall implressions from the site are good - low limit tables competition is not that tough, but I found tourneys a little bit more difficult to beat than at Paradise. May be because of a different blinds, chips and timing structure, may be because of the players - I'm not sure.
Oh and I haven't gotten a free book from internettexasholdem.com because at Pacific Poker records show that I had joined Pacific Poker through a different site - whatever, I already have this book anyway.
Just found this link on the one of the TwoPlusTwo discussions. Very useful information. It says Party Poker, but information there is applciable for any internet poker site.
